We want every teacher who pays us to feel they got fair value. This policy explains when we refund payments, how to request a refund, and what to expect.
1. 7-day money-back guarantee on first paid plan
If this is your first paid plan on PaperGenius and you decide within 7 calendar days of activation that the service isn't right for you, email billing@papergenius.pk asking for a full refund. We'll process it within 5 working days, no questions asked, back to the bank account the payment came from.
2. Prorated refunds on plan cancellation
If you cancel a paid plan after the 7-day window, you can request a prorated refund for unused full months. We calculate it as:
refund = (price paid) × (full unused months remaining ÷ total months in plan)
Partial months don't qualify. Example: on a 6-month Pro plan paid 1 Jan, cancelled on 16 March → 3 full unused months remain (April, May, June) → refund = price × 3/6.
3. When we do NOT refund
- Payments older than 90 days from the refund request date (Pakistani consumer-law statute of limitations for refund claims).
- Accounts that have been terminated for Terms of Service violations.
- The Free plan — there's nothing to refund.
- Add-on / pay-as-you-go usage charges that have already been consumed.
- Charges arising from your institute's sub-accounts whose payments you authorised.
4. Failed / disputed bank-transfer payments
Because we accept manual bank transfers, occasionally a payment is rejected by the bank, double-credited, or sent to the wrong account. If this happens:
- Email billing@papergenius.pk with your bank receipt + transaction ID.
- We'll reconcile within 3 working days and either activate your plan, return the funds, or correct the routing.
5. How to request a refund
- Email billing@papergenius.pk from the email address on your PaperGenius account.
- Include your invoice number (visible on the PDF receipt you can download from the Billing page).
- Tell us briefly which category above applies and, if it's the 7-day guarantee or prorated cancellation, the bank account details for the refund (same account the original payment came from).
- We acknowledge every request within 24 hours and complete refunds within 5 working days of approval.
6. Chargebacks & disputes
Please write to us before raising a dispute with your bank — almost every issue is resolvable directly and faster than a chargeback. Unauthorised chargebacks (without first contacting us) may result in account suspension while we investigate.
7. Tax
Refunds are issued net of any tax we have already remitted to FBR on your behalf, where the tax authority does not permit reversal. The invoice PDF lists this explicitly.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced in-app with at least 30 days' notice. Refund requests already in flight are honoured under the policy in effect on the date the payment was made.
